The séance members are Jean Paul, Quito, Vangie, The Reverend Dawson, Alison and Raxl. |

Vangie says five or seven are good numbers for a séance but six are present at the table. There is one empty chair, though, which might be for a seventh, spiritual presence. |
During the séance Vangie specifically asks for silence, yet Jean Paul speaks. |
Quito’s sand box, which is usually in his room, is conveniently on the table at the foot of the stairs in the main room, as it has an important part to play in the episode. The box can be seen earlier in the episode on the same table, waiting for its debut. The box is never shown on this table again. |
The séance table is on a stand in this episode (image 1). This stand mysteriously disappears in episode 38, after Quito has cleaned up the broken glass from when the chandelier fell, despite the fact that the chandelier and table are still there (image 2). Did Quito simply lift them up, remove the stand and them put them back? |

The control box in the secret room is labeled, from left to right, Great Hall, Dining Room, Bedroom, Lab, and Crypt. |

When Jean Paul enters the secret room, he now pulls out one large book to expose the door button, whereas before it was three smaller books. |
| |
| EPISODE 38 |
This is the first (and only) episode to show the secret room behind the medicine cabinet in the lab. |
As Vangie is in her trance, Alison says Vangie cannot hear her, yet she obeys Alison’s commands when she guides her to the couch. |
When Alison and the Reverend are helping Vangie to the couch, a boom shadow can be seen overhead. |
Menkin was researching cellular regeneration for six weeks before he died |
Jacques speaks with Vangie and tells her that she can only talk with him because she is living as Quito, half living, half dead. How she (and Quito) wound up in this state are never explained. |
In the beginning of the episode, chandelier that fell into the middle of the seance table can be seen resting inside the table itself (image 2). This chandelier is not present in episode 36, which follows directly on from the chandelier's fall (image 1) |
| |
| EPISODE 39 |
The cryonics equipment makes a regular noise for the first time in this episode. |
When Vangie interprets the symbols Raxl draws in the sand, she acts as though there is a revelation about the conjure doll and pin, yet Raxl has just told her that the symbols she remembers were for the conjure doll and pin. |
When Vangie and Raxl enter Quito’s room to examine the symbols in the sand, Chalcko’s cage is uncovered. In the next shot it is covered. Later, when Holly passes by the cage, it is uncovered again – and empty! |
A large boom shadow can be seen on Kurt Schiegl’s shoulder during the crypt scenes |
This episodes gives some background information that Jacques was a pirate and took the island of Maljardin by force. |
| |
| EPISODE 40 |
This episode features full credits, running over one minute and 25 seconds – the longest credit sequence so far. |
Jean accuses the Reverend of being the one who wanted to block communication at the séance, yet when he ticks off the names of those whom he deems innocent, he mentions everyone but Raxl. Why not eliminate her as well? |
