During its 195 episode run, Strange Paradise had three major story arcs, each covering 13 weeks of the show's 39 weeks on the air. The initial 13 weeks, covered by episodes 1-65, were set on the private island estate of Jean Paul Desmond, and dealt with his attempts at resurrecting his recently deceased wife Erica, along with Jean Paul’s possession by the spirit of his ancestor Jacques Eloi DesMondes.
Following episode 65, the action shifted to the Desmond ancestral home, Desmond Hall, in the town of Desmondton. The storylines
here involved Jean Paul’s attempts to discern the nature of, and eventually remove the effects of, a curse that has affected the Desmond family. Additionally, plotlines dealth with a local coven of witches and their attempts, through various means, to take over the Desmond fortune.
