A lot is made of the fact that Jean Paul cannot find the secret door to the crypt, yet as mentioned before, it should be painfully obvious to him, given that he can see the entrance on the monitor in the secret room. |

This is the first time Holly’s room is seen |

| EPISODE 42 |
This is the only episode in the Maljardin arc, and one of the few in the entire run of Strange Paradise that specifically mentions what time it is. In the opening segment, Jacques tells Jean Paul it’s 3am. |
Although the rabbit is not explained, it is implied in this episode that Jacques conjured him up, as Raxl suspects, to sow confusion on the island. Later script notes indicate that the rabbit contained Erica's spirit. This is never explicitly stated on screen, though. |
No trace is found of the missing cyanide, but it is inferred that Jacques hid it somewhere when he possessed Jean Paul. It later turns up in Alison's wine, put there by Erica. There is no explanation for its whereabouts in between, though. |
Chalcko fans take note – he has his first speaking role in this episode, with several lines of dialogue. |
As the camera zooms in on Holly sitting in the dining room, it can be heard striking something and then it visibly wobbles. |
| |
| EPISODE 43 |
The locket on the rabbit's neck was given to Erica on her last birthday. |

In the opening segment, as Jean Paul looks to the camera while talking to Raxl, a fly Colin Fox right in the eye, causing him to blink. |
During Raxl’s speech in the temple, Cosette Lee is clearly glancing at the teleprompter. |
This episode shows a fourth coffin in the family crypt, to the right of Jacques’. To whom this one belongs is never indicated. |
Alison, Elizabeth, Vangie, Dan and Tim all appear in the credits but not in the episode. |
| |
| EPISODE 44 |
This séance consists of Holly, Vangie, Mrs. Marshall and the Reverend – different people than the last séance, and seemingly not decided on by the spirits, as Vangie was adamant about before. Also, the magic number of five or seven is not accounted for in this séance either. |
Vangie’s bandage has moved from the right side of her head to the middle. |
In the last séance, the circle had to remain unbroken, but in this one it’s ok not to have it unbroken. |
Vangie asked Dan to leave before she began the first séance, and he did. Why is he then sitting at the table a second time so Vangie has to tell him to leave once more? |
Why is Jean Paul not present at the séance? |
| |
| EPISODE 45 |
This is the first Strange Paradise episode not to be written by Ian Martin. From this point, until the new production staff was in place, Strange Paradise would be written in short bursts by a succession of writers. |
Jean Paul mentions that he put the locket on Erica’s neck before he put her into the cryo capsule, yet the shot of Erica being put in the capsule shows no locket. Also, Jean Paul wasn't present when Erica was placed in the capsule. He came too late to say goodbye to her. |
This is the first episode with a voiceover. Vangie is the first person to narrate. |
Chalcko Watch: Chalcko has two speaking parts in this episode. |
When Vangie brings Jean Paul the locket, he checks it and determines it is genuine, yet later wonders if he should open the capsule to see if the “real” locket is there. |
