Voiceover: Dan Forrest-“On this night on Maljardin, Jean Paul Desmond, the tormented master of the island, must decide if he dares follow the ghostly command of the fatal séance to open the cryo capsule where he has placed his dead wife. But will he find her alive, as she promised him, or will she be forever dead?”

In the crypt, Jean Paul opens the capsule to find the doll and pin. He hears a tinkling sound, the same one heard at the séance. He calls for Quito, who runs downstairs. Jean Paul tells him to guard the capsule and runs out. Alison enters and asks Quito if the capsule had been opened. Quito nods, but can’t tell her what happened. Alison wants to see and Raxl allows her to enter. She opens the capsule but it is empty. Raxl tells Alison that there was nothing in there to take. Alison wonders how she can know this, as Jean Paul was alone when the capsule was opened. Raxl assure her that she knows. Alison asks Raxl were Erica’s body went.

Upstairs, Jacques laughs at Jean Paul. Jean Paul demands answers. He asks where Erica is, and Jacques replies that she is there, both in the present and the beyond. Jacques tells Jean Paul he can command nothing, but Jean Paul says he has a way to return Jean Paul to hell. Jacques tells him that he won’t dare do it and condemn himself to loneliness. He informs Jean Paul that Erica is present, but on another level of existence that he cannot control. Jean Paul demands he find someone who can control it, but Jacques only laughs.

Alison enters and asks why Jean Paul is staring at the portrait. She tells Jean Paul that Raxl said he found the capsule empty. Jean Paul insists Erica is back and that they must find a way to discover where she is. Alison agrees, if they are allowed to get off the island, but Jean Paul tells her that no one will leave. Dan enters and tells Jean Paul that perhaps everyone should go to leave hi Malone with Erica, suggesting that perhaps that is why she is waiting to appear. Jean Paul insists no one will leave the island, and Dan tells Alison that she shouldn’t doubt that Jean Paul has gone completely mad.

In the crypt, Raxl insists that they must find the rabbit to set things right. She declares that if Holly interferes she will die. Later, in her room, Holly hears a knock on the door. It is Raxl. She wants to know where the rabbit is and demands to know why Holly is protecting it. Holly hears the tinkling sound and tells Raxl she knows she has to protect it. Raxl demands to know why and pleads with her to save everyone. Holly is not worried, telling Raxl that nothing is going to harm her. Raxl says something has changed her since the séance and Holly confesses that she has been having terrible dreams – dreams of Erica, despite not having met her. Raxl tells Holly that Erica will return soon unless she helps her find the rabbit. Holly says she can’t help as the rabbit has not returned to her.

Downstairs, Dan is suspicious of the fact that no one has seen Erica’s body except for Jean Paul and wonders if it all is just a cover up for murder. He asks Alison where her loyalties would be if that was indeed the case.

In the crypt, Holly hears the tinkling noise. Dan enters and asks Holly what she is doing there. Holly tells him that she felt as though someone was telling her to come down to see the capsule for herself. Dan wonders if there is something in the capsule that might explain how Erica died, but he can find nothing. Holly suddenly feels cold. Dan tells Holly that he has found a way off the island and if she agrees to go everyone else will agree, too. Holly again hears the tinkling and wonders what it is trying to tell her. Dan has heard nothing and wonders what happened. Holly says it was like she was back at the séance, where she had a feeling that Erica was trying to contact her. Dan insists that Holly needs to get off the island and she says she will think about it.

In the lab, Alison is studying notes. Raxl asks if she has found anything useful, but Alison tells her that she has not. Alison asks Raxl if Jean Paul and Erica were happy together, and Raxl tells her that they were. Raxl is sure that Jean Paul would do nothing to harm her, but insists that if he brings Erica back now there may be trouble.

Meanwhile, Jean Paul summons Jacques and demands he fulfill his part of their bargain. Jacques tells him that he has done all he could, but Jean Paul insists that he has not done enough. Jean Paul threatens to put the pin back into the doll’s head and destroy Jacques. Jacques tells him to stop, informing Jean Paul that it will require more than their bargain to being Erica back. Jacques goes on to say that if Jean Paul insists on bringing Erica back he will be sentencing himself to powers worse than any Jacques has. Jean Paul agrees, and Jacques warns him that it will mean forever – he will never call his soul his own again. Jean Paul simply replies “so be it.”

Suddenly, a mark appears over the portrait and a voice other than Jacques’ asks who has summoned him. Jean Paul tells the voice that it was him and says he agrees to what has been asked. The bargain is made. Jean Paul insists it must be soon, and Jacques tells him it will be sooner than he thinks, or he wants. Jean Paul asks how Erica will come back. Jacques tells him there will be a way – now. At the same time, Holly is having a dream. As she sleeps, Jacques’ laughter can be heard.

Jean Paul tells Raxl that Erica is coming back. He orders her to prepare and tell the others. He informs Raxl that they can come and go as they please once Erica is back. Holly descends the stairs in a trance. Jean Paul and Raxl are shocked, and Raxl prays to the Great Serpent to break the spell on Holly. Holly convulses and Jean Paul demands Raxl do something more, so she calls upon the great serpent to draw a circle of safety around Holly. Raxl makes a circle around Holly and as she completes it Holly comes out of her trance. Raxl tells Holly that she must lead her out of the circle. Holly starts to move but Jean Paul tells her to obey Raxl or she will be in great danger. Raxl prays to the serpent to allow her to pass into the circle and lead holly back into her own world. She then leads holly out, declaring that she is now free. Holly asks what happened and Jean Paul tells her she was in a trance. Holly can’t remember anything except a feeling that someone was trying to smother her.

Alison and Dan enter the main hall, saying Raxl told them she needed them. Jean Paul explains that Holly had a bad dream but that she is fine now. Alison and Dan lead Holly back to bed and Alison says she will stay with her until she falls asleep. Jean Paul wonders if that’s how Erica will come – through Holly. Suddenly, Erica speaks to Jean Paul, promising she will come to him. Jean Paul asks how he can help and Erica tells him no one must leave the island or she will not be able to return. Jean Paul asks when she will return and Erica replies “tomorrow.”
